Election news: IBTTA officers and board members for 2025

The International Bridge, Tunnel, and Turnpike Association (IBTTA) elected a new slate of officers and directors at its 92nd Annual Meeting & Exhibition in Cleveland, Ohio, last week.

 

Who will serve in 2025?

Board of Directors serving a one-year term beginning 1 January and ending 31 December 2025:

President
James Hofmann, North Texas Tollway Authority

First Vice President
Joi Dean, Richmond Metropolitan Transportation Authority

Second Vice President
Ferzan Ahmed, Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission

International Vice President
María Moreno, Seopan

Immediate Past President
Bill Halkias, Hellastron
 

Two more members have been elected to serve the following terms:

Nick Roethel, Bay Area Toll Authority
Director, term beginning 1 January and ending 31 December 2026

James Carone, New Jersey Turnpike Authority
Director, term beginning 1 January and ending 31 December 2027
 

And the following will serve as directors beginning 1 January and ending 31 December 2028:

Anna Bonet, Elizabeth River Crossings
Christophe Boutin, Asfa (Association of French Motorway Companies)
Rene Moser, Asfinag (Autobahn and Schnellstraßen-Finanz-Aktiengesellschaft)
Craig Shuey, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission
Vincent Valdez, Transportation Corridor Agencies

In a statement, IBTTA says: "The nominated officers and directors have demonstrated exceptional commitment to advancing the road pricing industry, enhancing mobility, and improving the safety and efficiency of transportation networks worldwide. As members of the IBTTA Board, they will play a critical role in shaping policies, fostering innovation, and advocating for sustainable transportation solutions that benefit communities and economies on a global scale."

James Hofmann, executive director and CEO of the North Texas Tollway Authority, and IBTTA's 2025 incoming president, adds: "I am honoured to work alongside such an esteemed group of incoming leaders as we drive the industry forward with innovative solutions and a commitment to excellence. I am proud to be part of an organization that is setting the standard for transportation infrastructure around the world."
