A new range of 10 gigabit Ethernet switches is being presented by 8242 CXR at this year’s ITS World Congress. The company’s SWCE range is a 10Gb carrier ethernet platform in a rugged design aimed at enabling broad communication bandwidth in the Smart City and transportation industries.

SWCE provides a flexible and scalable approach, at 1, 2.5 and 10Gb bandwidth speeds, and CXR claims a range of other benefits from its new range of switches. These include power supply redundancy, extended temperature range and a compact and robust design for easy integration in any environment; extensive management functions; green Ethernet design for low environmental impact; and an affordable and scalable ‘pay as you grow’ solution.
