The 6456 ITS World Congress 2016, taking place in Melbourne, Australia, 10-14 October, has attracted 7,000+delegates from 60 countries, as well as over 300 exhibitors, providing a showcase for the latest advances and solutions in intelligent transportation systems.
The congress themes range from the challenges and opportunities of big open data to smart cities, autonomous vehicles, safety, sustainability, future freight, policy and standards and co-operative ITS.

ERTICO-ITS Europe, organiser of September’s ITS World Congress in Copenhagen, has warned that an unofficial website could confuse potential delegates and suggests that people avoid it. The official site of the Congress is www.itsworldcongress.com, but a site exists with a similar domain - itsworldcongress2018.org – offering hotel bookings and travel information.

ITS experts are invited to submit papers to be considered for presentation and publication at the ITS World Congress 2019 in Singapore. The International Programme Committee says submissions must be centred around themes and sub-topics such as crowdsourcing and big data analytics, cybersecurity and data privacy, innovative pricing and travel demand management and intelligent, connected and autonomous vehicles. October’s ITS World Congress in Singapore will address topics under the theme ‘Smart Mobility, Empowering Cities’.
The congress is being organised by the Land Transport Authority of Singapore and the Intelligent Transport Society Singapore in collaboration with ITS Asia-Pacific, ITS America and Ertico – ITS Europe. ITS International is the event’s official media partner.
