The City of Copenhagen in Denmark has decided to support use of electric cars by earmarking up to 500 parking places, equipped with charging points, for EVs. The plan also includes reduced parking fees for the vehicles.

The Spanish city of Malaga is to participate in the four-year Zem2All project to study the impact that the use of electric vehicles (EVs) have on the city. During the tests an in-depth study of the impact of EVs on the electricity grid will be carried out and the conditions for a widespread use of electric cars will be analysed. ChargeWheel has secured $1 million in funding to launch a mobile electric vehicle (EV) charging network in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The network will be based on ChargeWheel’s mobile Energy Trailers, which don’t require a connection to the grid, and can therefore operate in any car park.
