Copenhagen turning parking spaces into EV recharging stations
The City of Copenhagen in Denmark has decided to support use of electric cars by earmarking up to 500 parking places, equipped with charging points, for EVs. The plan also includes reduced parking fees for the vehicles.

The City of Copenhagen in Denmark has decided to support use of electric cars by earmarking up to 500 parking places, equipped with charging points, for EVs. The plan also includes reduced parking fees for the vehicles.
Copenhagen’s mayor of technical and environmental affairs attended this week’s ITS World Congress on Tuesday to promote the 2018 ITS World Congress, to be held in Denmark’s capital from 17-21 September, 2018.
“We are looking forward to hosting the ITS World Congress in Copenhagen in 2018; we are proud to be one of the world’s most liveable cities – just like Melbourne – and we manage our transport infrastructure to help us create a high-qualityof- life city,” said mayor Morten Kabell.

Tritium has signed a deal with Box Energi to be the sole supplier for Drive Energi, a nationwide electric vehicle (EV) charging network in the UK.
Drive Energi is expected to consist of 2,500 charging locations by 2025, with at least 100 sites live by the end of January 2020. The network will be a mix of public and private charging solutions.

The cities that came after London include Amsterdam (9.63), Rotterdam, (8.73), Berlin, (8.24) and Hamburg (7.2).
However, Spotahome rated other cities in the UK such as Manchester in 18th place (1.76), Edinburgh 31st (1.1) and Leeds 35th (0.88).
