There’s an air of celebration at the 1763 Econolite booth because the company has reached a major industry milestone with an order for the 100th Centracs Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS).

To be installed in Georgia, the software system will be deployed as part of the city of Johns Creek’s ITS master plan and was chosen for its expandability and powerful ITS capabilities that fit well with the city’s existing infrastructure.

It provides a cost-effective and adaptable ATMS foundation for monitoring and managing traffic through control and communication devices that are efficient, sustainable, and expandable.

“Within three years, Econolite has sold 100 Centracs ATMS systems to be leveraged as integral components of our customers’ ITS programmes,” says Econolite Group VP Marketing Persephone Oliver. “And, as we continue to broaden our ITS product and service offerings, we recently expanded our exclusive North American distribution agreement with Image Sensing Systems to include the RTMS radar product line.”

Econolite recently modified its agreement with Image Sensing Systems (ISS) to include the RTMS radar detection product line to its exclusive North American distribution beginning this year. This agreement further expands the successful 20-year product development partnership between Econolite and ISS. The addition of the RTMS product line is a complementary technology to the Autoscope line of video detection solutions.

Some of the sales and sales support personnel from ISS will be transitioned to direct employment with the Econolite Group. As with Autoscope, ISS will retain all intellectual property rights and both companies will continue to collaborate on the research and development for Autoscope and RTMS.
