26 Case Systems Inc, which develops and maintains wireless technologies for the transportation and parking industries, is highlighting its roadside call box technology and parking systems at this years 560 ITS America.
The company is featuring its solar-powered roadside call box which is built to last, enduring the elements for over 20 years, and paving the way for green ITS technologies worldwide. Case Systems says that transportation agencies, public works departments and 511 programs use its call box systems enhanced with Bluetooth technology to offer additional information services to the driving public.
Using the same design concept and low-cost, reliable technology, 7237 Case Parking delivers real-time occupancy for managing parking facilities utilising a web-based dashboard with the ability to provide parkers with parking space availability via smartphones, message signs and web applications. The company’s turnkey parking solution, which counts cars in and out of parking lots with more than 99% accuracy, uses a new data management, or “Counts in the Cloud” approach, to automate real-time parking information or special event planning. Case Systems says that ROI studies show that its parking solution will drive positive cash flow in the first month of operation.

Navtech Radar will be showcasing its new CTS350-X long range radar, the latest unit in its ClearWay automatic incident detection radar system, at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2014.
ClearWay is an all-weather radar system which provides a way of automatically detecting incidents, including stopped vehicles, people and debris on strategic roads, bridges and in tunnels. It uses high frequency radar to scan the whole road surface, both up and downstream. The radar detects objects and then tracking software, which
German company SVS-Vistek designs and manufactures a wide range of innovative CCD and CMOS cameras, from VGA up to 29 megapixel resolution, for many industrial machine vision and traffic applications.
CSRS is a new no-dig technology and construction method from MaxCell that removes inner ducting from around active fiber optic cables with virtually no load on cable and no interruption of service. Inner ducts can be are removed at a rate of up to 3m (10ft) per min and up to 90% conduit space is recovered. The cables fall to bottom of conduit allowing up to nine more cables to be placed in recovered space. Replacing with new ducting can cost upwards of $3000 per metre ($1,000 per foot) in cities.
