26 Case Systems Inc, which develops and maintains wireless technologies for the transportation and parking industries, is highlighting its roadside call box technology and parking systems at this years 560 ITS America.
The company is featuring its solar-powered roadside call box which is built to last, enduring the elements for over 20 years, and paving the way for green ITS technologies worldwide. Case Systems says that transportation agencies, public works departments and 511 programs use its call box systems enhanced with Bluetooth technology to offer additional information services to the driving public.
Using the same design concept and low-cost, reliable technology, 7237 Case Parking delivers real-time occupancy for managing parking facilities utilising a web-based dashboard with the ability to provide parkers with parking space availability via smartphones, message signs and web applications. The company’s turnkey parking solution, which counts cars in and out of parking lots with more than 99% accuracy, uses a new data management, or “Counts in the Cloud” approach, to automate real-time parking information or special event planning. Case Systems says that ROI studies show that its parking solution will drive positive cash flow in the first month of operation.
Denso is showing what it says are the largest head-up display (HUD) images to be used in a vehicle environment. Its system – although in a slightly smaller format – has already been installed in Kia’s new K9 luxury car and Denso says it is in talks with US and European manufacturers over adopting the system. The image area produced by the HUD on Denso’s stand measures 230 x 90mm, with road information such as speed limits and directions being projected into the driver’s line of sight.
Laser Technology’s third-generation S and T Series laser sensors offer the ability to profile vehicles, measure speed, count, and measure the time between vehicles all in one operation. This information can be used for real-time traffic management and trend analysis.
Germany company Dresden Elektronik is showcasing its deZign electronic timetabling technology for the first time here at Intertraffic. Using flexible plastic displays from Plastic Logic, the monochrome deZign display allows traditional paper timetables to be replaced at the push of a button. The solution is robust, daylight-readable and low power – fixed content requires no power, while text changes require only minimal energy.
Jenoptik Traffic c Solutions says it will use Intertraffic Amsterdam 2014 to pave the way to more traffic safety for individual users and applications. As a result, the company will be presenting ways to maximise customer benefits by investigating current infrastructure and evaluating needs, then producing a concept which specifies the mix of systems and services required to meet a traffic safety goal.
