The company will feature its solar-powered roadside call box which is built to last, enduring the elements for over 20 years and paving the way for green ITS technologies worldwide. Case Systems says that transportation agencies, public works departments, and 511 programs use its call box systems enhanced with Bluetooth technology to offer additional information services to the driving public.
Using the same design concept and low-cost, reliable technology, 7237 Case Parking delivers real-time occupancy for managing parking facilities utilizing a web-based dashboard with the ability to provide parkers with parking space availability via smartphones, message signs, and web applications. The company’s turnkey parking solution, which counts cars in and out of parking lots with more than 99% accuracy, uses a new data management, or “Counts in the Cloud” approach, to automate real-time parking information or special event planning. Case Systems says that ROI studies show that its parking solution will drive positive cash flow in the first month of operation.
German company Sensati will use Intertraffic Amsterdam 2014 to unveil its new LED matrix display for parking guidance systems. Besides numbers and animated arrows, it also shows pictograms and texts, and all functions can be remotely controlled, including editing the texts. Swedish company MetSense will be at Intertraffic Amsterdam to highlight its complete sensor solutions for winter road maintenance, and will present MetSense 2DRoad, a multi-pixel camera system for detection of road status in two dimensions. When installed on a road weather station, the camera system can offer a visual image of one or several lanes of road with a semi-transparent overlay of current road condition, such as dry, wet, ice, or snow, in thousands of points on the road surface.
Blip Systems will use the ITS World Congress to gain further momentum for the company's BlipTrack Bluetooth tracking system that has already been deployed in many locations around the world, not just for accurate and valid travel time, traffic flow and speed information in urban areas. As the company points out, its system is able to track the same person whether they are walking, cycling, driving a car, using trains, ferries, planes and other types of transportation.
