Call for entries for ITS America 2012 State Chapter awards

ITS America has announced a call for entries for the “2012 Outstanding State Chapter Awards,” presented to highlight and recognise the most outstanding 2011 accomplishments of ITS State Chapters throughout the country. This year’s awards programme incorporates three divisions of chapters based on size. Two awards will be given in each division for Outstanding State Chapter and Membership Growth. 560 ITS America has announced a call for entries for the “2012 Outstanding State Chapter Awards,” presented to highlight and recognise the most outstanding 2011 accomplishments of ITS State Chapters throughout the country. This year’s awards programme incorporates three divisions of chapters based on size. Two awards will be given in each division for Outstanding State Chapter and Membership Growth. California, Florida, Georgia, Gulf Region, Heartland, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Texas make up Division 1. Division 2 includes Arizona, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, Midwest, Pennsylvania, Rocky Mountain, Tennessee, and Virginia, while Division 3 consists of Alaska, Nevada, New Mexico, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, West Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.

All award finalists will be recognised and the winners announced during ITS America’s 22nd Annual Meeting from 21-23, May, 2012 at the Gaylord National Convention Centre in National Harbor, Maryland just outside Washington, D.C. This year’s Annual Meeting, “Smart Transportation: A Future We Can Afford,” will be a three-day event featuring exhibits, congressional visits, technical demonstrations, and an educational programme that focuses on affordable strategies to create smart cities and communities that are safer, cleaner, more livable and less congested.
