RevGo bikes were initially deployed at the University in July, which according to BM Mobility, now has around 1,000 registered members.

The campus has eight parking sites and two charging stations which can charge 24 batteries at one time. BM Mobility will monitor the battery life in real time using its proprietary app and replace them when the power is low.

Users can book the bikes through the firm's smartphone app. Riders who do not return the bikes to the parking sites will continue to be charged in a bid to prevent the bikes from obstructing common areas or being stolen.

Going forward, BM Mobility aims to deploy the service to other Universities in Malaysia.
