Human beings will always make mistakes. Which is why Sweden has, for many years, aimed to build roads that are able to ‘forgive’ those errors.

With that in mind, Sweden’s 7668 Blue Systems is showing its Safence cable barrier system, which is experiencing a new lease of life in several countries.

“Installing cable barriers has proven to be an economical approach to strive for a forgiving road environment where the end goal is zero traffic-related fatalities or serious injuries,” said Blue Systems’ exports manager Mats Heinevik.

Neighbouring Denmark has shown new interest in cable barriers, said Heinevik, having bought 8km of Safence barriers late last year. “We are very excited to establish a growing interest for cable barriers in Denmark as well as all over the word, actually.”
