American company EMX Industries, a specialist in detectors based on inductive, magnetic, ultrasound, microwave and infrared technologies, is participating at Intertraffic Amsterdam 2014 to introduce Ultraloop, an exclusive inductive a loop detector that is capable of differentiating between moving vehicles and vehicles that come to a complete stop on the inductive loop. Cubic Transportation Systems (CTS) is extending Sydney’s contactless payment system beyond light rail and ferries to include the Australian city’s train network.
The technology allows commuters to pay for ticketing via credit cards, smart watches and other electronic devices, alongside the Opal card.
