Arup partners with MaaS Global to develop services

Consultant Arup will assist MaaS Global by providing consultancy services related to the development and deployment of Mobility as a Service (MaaS). Consultant 7942 Arup will assist MaaS Global by providing consultancy services related to the development and deployment of Mobility as a Service (MaaS). The collaboration intends to provide an offering that rivals car ownership across cities.

The company has grand ambitions for Whim, looking to roll it out to 60 countries in the next five years.

David O'Keeffe, director and digital services leader for Arup in Ireland, said that the companies will combine their resources in transport systems with their relationships with, and knowledge of, a range of cities to facilitate MaaS Global’s focus for expansion.

For the initial phase of the project, Arup will screen cities for MaaS readiness with the intention of assisting in making the service a reality.
