The exhibit prominently features an Elvis impersonator and encourages visitors to ‘accept no substitutes.’

“It’s an important message, especially now,” says Mike Kline, North American General Manager at Wavetronix.  “SmartSensor has set a high standard and its success has led to greater adoption of radar for ITS and traffic applications. Now there are a number of radar devices in the market, but none of them offer the proven accuracy or reliability of SmartSensor.”

Wavetronix says it continues to offer the only radar designed and manufactured specifically for vehicle traffic detection. The SmartSensor product line includes: HD, the first non-intrusive traffic detector to offer true high-definition radar and the ability to accurately detect the true speeds of individual vehicles; Advance, which provides dilemma zone protection for vehicles based on speed, distance and ETA at the stop bar; the new Advance Extended Range, which provides signal priority for large trucks and other high profile vehicles; and Matrix, which the company says is the world leader in radar stop bar detection.

“SmartSensor has changed the way transportation agencies view traffic detection, and now Wavetronix is benefitting from a growing focus on performance,” Kline says.  “Shows like ITSA give us a chance to demonstrate the differences between other radar vehicle detectors and Wavetronix radar.”
