Highway Resource Solutions has expanded its 7364 Intellicone product range to include Intellicone Traffic Management Unit (TMU) and Intellicone Sentry.

The TMU system enables traffic management staff to detect breaches at remote barriers and relay this to Intellicone portable site alarms within a work site. When combined with Intellicone enabled 1915 Dorman cone lamps, this helps create safer working environments.

The Intellicone Sentry, a rapidly deployable ultrasonic beam sensor, detects vehicles breaching works access points and can be used to support staff manning these gates.

An override switch enables authorised staff to allow work vehicles access without triggering the alarm. The Sentry integrates with existing Intellicone equipment and new TMU.

More than a showcase for innovation, the center was—and continues to be—a dynamic outdoor laboratory where new traffic materials, systems, vehicle safety and public safety products are tested in real-world conditions. Now, with 3M expanding

New enforcement equipment is coming onto the market apace, as Colin Sowman discovers. If there is one word that epitomises the current trend in enforcement technology then that word is consolidation: multi-function cameras, miniaturisation and combining radar and visual detection methods. One example is Turkish company Ekin Technology’s recently introduced Micro Plate is claimed to be the smallest licence plate recognition device. In addition to logging licence plate data, the system records speed, date, ti

Integrating control rooms can improve traffic management, security and emergency response without excessive cost or compromising privacy. In the wake of the recent terrorist events in France and Germany where the transport system was exploited with deadly consequences, many governments and agencies are reviewing the security arrangements – particularly around popular and high profile events.
