144 Vaisala claims it is set to revolutionise the ITS road weather industry by launching an entirely new road weather station, the RWS200, which, when combined with Vaisala’s RoadDSS software suite, delivers a complete road weather solution called iRWIS.

Vaisala iRWIS consists of intelligent roadside hardware making its own decisions, combined with sophisticated decision support software that makes decision making easier and more accurate. iRWIS is flexible, from the scalable software solutions to RWS200 that allows users to deploy exactly and only the hardware needed.

The sophisticated algorithms and smart power management of the RWS200 allows users to deploy only what they need to do the job, while the RoadDSS software provides supervisors with a decision support tool to simplify the complexity of road maintenance in a single location, providing users with different software applications to match operational needs.  Cloud-based display and storage ensures access to information anytime, anywhere.
