Sponsorship opportunities of the Georgia 511 NaviGAtor system include the 511 telephone system, which receives 1.6 million - 2 million calls annually; 511 website, which exceeds three million hits annually; over 600 roadway signs statewide, reaching more than three million vehicles per day; and soon to be released mobile applications for iOS and for Android platforms.

Georgia 511 is a sponsor-supported public service of the 754 Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) that can be accessed at %$Linker: External <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?><dictionary /> 0 0 0 oLinkExternal www.511ga.org 511 false http://www.511ga.org/ false false%>, or by phone by dialling 511 anywhere in the State of Georgia. The system provides travellers with real-time, route-specific travel information by identifying incidents, roadwork construction, congestion, and road weather conditions statewide.

Iteris, through its subsidiary 605 Meridian Environmental Technology, has been the exclusive supplier of Georgia's 511 system since 2006. Iteris developed and implemented the first successful sponsorship model for a statewide traveller information system for GDOT in 2009. This RFP seeks to secure an exclusive programme sponsor, or sponsors of individual 511 NaviGAtor mediums.
