The build-up to the 14th ITS European Congress is continuing with the latest in Ertico - ITS Europe's webinar series tomorrow.

‘Services for Cities & Citizens: Mobility at your door’ is on Thursday 21 April from 2pm – 3.15pm CET.

It covers two themes of the Toulouse Congress: Services for Citizens and Cities as Logistics Hubs, with experts talking about their vision and solutions, both practical and regulatory, for achieving safer, more accessible and more sustainable mobility.

Hosted and chaired by Lisa Boch-Andersen, director of communications, congresses & events at Ertico, it will also feature Ertico CEO Joost Vantomme and Chacasta Pritlove from Google, an ITS Toulouse Congress Partner.

Vladimir Vorotovic, Ertico director of innovation and deployment will moderate the panel presentations.

Paola Chiarini, policy officer, innovation and research at the European Commission DG Move,  will talk about the EC’s Urban Mobility Framework and a vision of zero-emission city freight logistics and last-mile delivery;

Samuel Pierce, project manager at Cycling Industries Europe, will present cargo bikes as the solution for zero-emissions urban logistics;

Tiina Leinonen, project manager and mobility coordinator at the Climate and Environmental Policy Unit, City of Tampere will talk about the importance of data in support of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan objectives.

    The wait is over! This morning, at the end of the official opening of Intertraffic Amsterdam 2024 from 08:30 to 10:15 in Intertraffic Summit Theatre 1, the winners of the Intertraffic Awards will be announced. The three Intertraffic Awards up for grabs are: the Green Globe Award, which symbolises innovation that delivers significant environmental benefits; the Inspiration Award, which highlights groundbreaking products inspiring the industry in new directions; and the User Experience Award, which recognises excellence in control systems for the end user. There are five nominees in each of the three categories, representing mobility solutions manufacturers from 11 different countries.
