Transport Research Laboratory (491 TRL) is demonstrating the latest version of its Transyt Online software at 70 Intertraffic, and is also working with its French integrator Spie Sud-Est, to expand Transyt Online across the cities of France.

Spie plan to integrate Transyt Online into its Cite product and offer this extra functionality to its wide customer base and new customers. The choice of Transyt Online was a natural one following the successful use of Transyt in a project in Cannes where Spie used Transytto optimise the signal timings to realise a 40 per cent reduction in stops and delays.

TRL is renowned for developing Transyt, its internationally recognised simulation and modelling tool for optimising and coordinating signal timings over a network. With Transyt Online the functionality is extended and allows optimised Signal Plans to be sent directly to on-street controllers to allow frequent retiming without the need to go out on the street in response to events.
