Three new contracts in Spain for Indra

Intra is to implement the intelligent transport systems (ITS) on Spain’s AC-14 highway as well as participating in the systems maintenance at Madrid management centre and providing support and technical assistance to the automated traffic ticket processing centre, following the award of three new contracts valued at US$19.8 million.

Spain’s Traffic Department, DGT, has awarded 509 Indra, in a temporary joint venture with 134 Telvent, a two-year contract to manage the operations of the Madrid Traffic Management Center, which covers the provinces of Madrid, Toledo, Cuenca, Guadalajara, Ciudad Real, part of Jaén, Cáceres and Badajoz, as well as the maintenance and management of all of the ITS installed on the roads.
