Telvent awarded Saudi Arabia traffic management contract

Telvent has been awarded a contract by Saudi Oger Ltd, with the High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh as the end customer, to implement the its SmartMobility Road Suite solution on King Abdullah Road in Saudi Arabia.

134 Telvent has been awarded a contract by Saudi Oger Ltd, with the High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh as the end customer, to implement the its SmartMobility Road Suite solution on King Abdullah Road in Saudi Arabia. The city’s new highway, with a six kilometre length and four tunnels, will provide improved travel times within the city, as well as a reduction in delays and standstills arising from traffic jams.

Telvent’s SmartMobility solution will allows centralisation of both tunnel infrastructure and traffic management, providing operators with a set of effective tools to facilitate the process, while heightening safety and security at the same time. Integrated within the system will be fire detection control, CCTV surveillance, traffic data collection station, ramp metering, variable message signs, lighting, ventilation, and communications
