State Department of Transportation (DOT) executives in charge of intelligent transportation deployment will participate in a DOT roundtable, sponsored by 7948 HNTB, on 12June at 1500-1445 McEnery Convention Center as part of 560 ITS America 2016 San Jose.

These leaders will discuss their states’ experiences, successes, failures, challenges, and lessons learned in launching ITS projects while, on broader scale, endeavouring to prepare their states’ infrastructures to meet and support tomorrow’s ITS mobility demands.

Co-hosted by the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) and the 4944 American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), HNTB senior vice president Ananth Prasad will serve as moderator.

“These discussions among stakeholders are critical in order for us to advance transportation,” said Prasad. “Sharing lessons learned allows us to learn from each other and continue to develop technologies for more safe and efficient travel.”

“ITS America 2016 San Jose is about the integrated mobility systems of the future,” said Regina Hopper, president and CEO of ITS America. “State DOTs are on the front lines of simultaneously providing safe and efficient transportation networks, through building and maintaining their state’s traditional infrastructures, while planning to meet the challenge of future smart mobility through intelligent transportation systems.”
