St. Louis public transport operator 6907 Metro Transit is launching a new real-time information and trip-planning mobile app covering the US region, which includes parts of Illinois and Missouri.

Jessica Mefford-Miller, executive director of Metro Transit, a public transport operator, says: “With this app, our customers can check real-time information, get the latest service alerts, look up schedules, and plan multimodal trips – all from the palm of their hand.”

Called Transit, the app will allow riders to see nearby options and departure times as well as access trip planning and navigation within its Go feature.

The app offers first- and last-mile connections within the Transit+ feature. For certain trips, it will suggest taking an Uber or Lyft part of the way, and connecting with MetroBus and MetroLink service. Also, this feature allows users to plan, book and pay for a ride-sharing trip while receiving updates on metro connections, the company adds.

Transit is available to download on iPhone and Android. It replaces the Metro On The Go app, which will no longer be supported after 30 April.
