Mobility operator Transdev and bike-share company Mobike will offer ‘free floating’ bicycles to local authorities in France in a partnership to provide residents with a ‘clean’ last-mile solution.
Transdev says 70% of local authorities in France consider the development of ‘soft’ transportation modes as a priority in the transition to clean energy.
The companies aim to market the Mobike bicycles in more than ten authorities over the next year.

Copenhagen metro operator Metroselkabet has appointed Arup as part of a joint venture with Rambøll to develop the light rail on ring 3 for greater Copenhagen. The new light rail system includes a double track alignment of 27 kilometres and 27 stations with a rolling stock fleet of 27 light rail vehicles.
This major project was planned to promote the use of public transport as well as encourage the urban development along the route and the passage across the city to avoid interchanging in the centre.

Uber is combining its ride-hailing and food delivery apps, while polishing its green credentials and launching a range of new features and partnerships.
There is a particular focus on micromobility: bikes and scooters will be displayed on the map inside the ride-hailing giant’s app in 28 cities to make it easier for users to view their options. The company is also expanding its in-app Transit option to include San Francisco, Mexico City and Paris.
