Lime and its competitors Tier and Voi have formed the Nordic Micromobility Association to promote safety standards for electric scooters. Lime and its competitors Tier and Voi have formed the Nordic Micromobility Association to promote safety standards for electric scooters.

The association will seek to strengthen relationships between Nordic cities and micromobility businesses as well as reduce emissions.

The association’s members are not the only companies working to improve the safety of e-scooters.     The Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers Association’s (CVMA’s) president Mark Nantais has stated that Quebec’s Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) regulations “may result in unintended consequences for consumers, automobile dealers, industry and ultimately, Quebec's economy,” in response to the new strategy introduced by the province’s government.
