Before the end of the year, Jenoptik will deploy 600 of its radar-based TraffiStar S390 measurement systems as well as 300 TraffiTower 2.0 housings for stationary speed enforcement to an unnamed client in the Middle East. Also, Jenoptik will upgrade the customer’s back-office processing software.

In the second contract, Jenoptik will simultaneously deliver 144 radar-based TempoCam systems for mobile speed monitoring to Algeria. The scope of the delivery includes software for the evaluation of traffic violations.

The company’s local subsidiary, Jenoptik Robot Algérie, will provide warranty services, maintenance and repair.

Stefan Traeger, Jenoptik president and CEO, says: “Both orders are another significant indicator for the increasing demand for traffic safety in emerging countries.”
