Intertraffic Innovation Award jury selects fifteen candidates

The seventh Intertraffic Innovation Award for the most innovative exhibit will be presented during the opening ceremony of Intertraffic Amsterdam 2014 on 25 March. An international jury has selected a shortlist of nominees from 60 entries and awards will be presented in each of five categories: infrastructure, ITS traffic management, safety, parking and smart mobility. The seventh Intertraffic Innovation Award for the most innovative exhibit will be presented during the opening ceremony of 70 Intertraffic Amsterdam 2014 on 25 March. An international jury has selected a shortlist of nominees from 60 entries and awards will be presented in each of five categories: infrastructure, ITS traffic management, safety, parking and smart mobility. One of five winners will then be chosen as the overall winner of the Intertraffic Innovation Award.

Companies shortlisted for the award are:

Infrastructure category: ArcelorMittal Flat Carbon Europe (Luxemburg) - Magnelis; Agmi Traffic & Lighting (Netherlands) - Agmi Area Lighting; and Dresden Elektronik Verkehrstechnik (Germany) – deZign.

ITS traffic management category: 6999 Imtech Traffic & Infra (Netherlands) – ImCity; 73 Iteris (USA) – smartCycle; and Trafic Technologie Systeme (France) - solar temporary traffic light.

Safety category: Cidro (Spain) – Crossafe; Sistemas Palazón (Spain) - Sistemas Palazón; and 7087 TNO (Netherlands) - SaveCAP airbag.

Parking category: Edesix (UK) - VideoBadge2; SCANaCAR (Netherlands) - parking space classifier; and 2226 Skidata (Austria) - Barrier.Gate ‘Smart’.

Smart mobility category: DTV Consultants (Netherlands) - B-Riders Brabant; HR Groep Traffic & Signing (Netherlands) - BMS Bicycle Management System; and Stalker Radar (USA) - CopTrax in-car video.
