Indra to demonstrate smart cities model at Trafic exhibition

Spanish consulting and technology firm 509 Indra, will use its participation in the Trafic International Road Safety and Equipment Show in Madrid 15-18 October to present its traffic management and intelligent technology solutions for improving urban mobility and moving towards the smart cities model.

The company will display its comprehensive, advanced technology traffic management and control solutions, intelligent transport systems (ITS), tunnel control systems and toll and electronic toll systems, placing emphasis on intelligent traffic and transport management systems for urban settings.

Indra will also explain the foundation on which to implement a more extensive smart cities model, using a scale model of its Atenea solution , an urban platform used to manage smart cities, integrating and managing all the services and solutions that comprise a city's network.

    The European Commission (EU) is expected to invest around US$276 million to create smart cities in the next two years.
