Hertz to provide operational services for Aptiv AVs, Las Vegas

Car rental company Hertz has partnered with Aptiv to help operate and manage the technology firm’s autonomous vehicles (AVs) in Las Vegas. The initiative is set to launch this autumn and is intended to serve as a guide for the implementation of similar projects in future markets. Aptiv made 30 AVs available to Las Vegas riders using Lyft’s app in May.

Car rental company 6266 Hertz has partnered with Aptiv to help operate and manage the technology firm’s autonomous vehicles (AVs) in Las Vegas.

The initiative is set to launch this autumn and is intended to serve as a guide for the implementation of similar projects in future markets.

    Trafi and BVG launch all-in-one mobility app in Berlin
    Technology firm Trafi has partnered with public transport company Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) to launch a mobility app which it says integrates all modes of transport in Berlin, Germany. Trafi claims that the Jelbi app will allow users to access the city’s entire public transportation system including scooters, bikes, ride-hailing and car-sharing as well as taxis.     Ford has joined forces with technology company Baidu to test Level 4 self-driving vehicles in China over the next two years.
