Gojek to expand ride-hailing service across Singapore

Indonesian start-up Gojek is to extend its ride-hailing service across the whole of Singapore following the success of a limited service area roll-out.

The island-wide service is part of the Gojek’s continued beta phase in which users can join a waiting list to gain access to the company’s ride-hailing app.
Additionally, Gojek has introduced dynamic pricing, a strategy in which prices increase or decrease based on demand, to help reduce waiting times for commuters and drivers.
Gojek is not the only company broadening its mobility offering in Singapore. The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) has announced that it is seeking comments on two Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to develop and operate the third generation of its electronic toll-collection systems. It has now issued a Request for Comments via eMaryland Marketplace to solicit feedback on the procurement of its toll system and its Customer Service Centre system.
The new toll system will include replacement of the existing toll-lane terminals and all associated hardware and software, while the

Lyft has joined forces with Aptiv and the National Federation of the Blind (NFB) to bring self-driving technology to its blind and low-vision riders in Las Vegas.
The deal extends an agreement last year, in which Aptiv launched 30 autonomous vehicles (AVs) to pick up riders using Lyft’s app.
