Gojek to expand ride-hailing service across Singapore

Indonesian start-up Gojek is to extend its ride-hailing service across the whole of Singapore following the success of a limited service area roll-out.

The island-wide service is part of the Gojek’s continued beta phase in which users can join a waiting list to gain access to the company’s ride-hailing app.
Additionally, Gojek has introduced dynamic pricing, a strategy in which prices increase or decrease based on demand, to help reduce waiting times for commuters and drivers.
Gojek is not the only company broadening its mobility offering in Singapore. Bus operator Nobina is to acquire parts of public transport company Örslev Holding to offer special public transport services in Denmark.
The scope of the DKr.15.5 million (£1.8m) deal includes 16 buses which offer regular services in South Zealand coastal area and 21 buses for special needs transportation.

Commuters in Istanbul using the bridges across the Bhosphorus Strait are set to benefit from Turkey’s first multi-lane free flow tolling system being installed by toll system manufacturer Aselsan.
