1763 Econolite has launched Centracs Signal Performance Measures (SPM), a cloud-based high-resolution traffic data collection and analytics software solution designed to improve traffic signal optimisation and continuous monitoring. It has been developed in support of the fourth round of the Every Day Counts (EDC-4) program of the US 831 Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) that encourages implementation of automated traffic signal performance measures as a means to optimise traffic signal coordination and programming.

The 324 US Department of Transportation recommends re-timing of traffic signals every three to seven years.  Centracs SPM enables transportation agencies to make signal re-timing strategy decisions based on high-resolution dynamic traffic performance data without the costs associated with manually-collected low-resolution data and simulations

It provides continuous traffic data collection and analytics, enabling transportation professionals to proactively optimise signal timing, enhancing mobility and safety. In addition, Centracs SPM is suitable for deployment in connected and autonomous vehicles and Smart City applications.

To complement its existing WIM offering, IRD has introduced a system to detect under-inflated and flat tyres at highway speeds. Tyre inflation pressure has both safety and economic impacts for road users and none more so than with commercial vehicles. An underinflated tyre has decreased directional control, increased risk of catastrophic failure, and negatively impacts tyre life and fuel economy.
