USDOT to host webinars on first phase of CV Pilot Deployment Program

The US Department of Transportation (USDOT) will host three free public webinars on the Connected Vehicle Pilot Deployment Program. The 324 US Department of Transportation (USDOT) will host three free public webinars on the Connected Vehicle Pilot Deployment Program. Offered by the Intelligent Transportation Systems Joint Program Office (ITS JPO), the webinars will explore the insights, challenges, and lessons learned from the Concept Development phase of each of the Connected Vehicle Pilots.
 
In September 2016, three Connected Vehicle Pilot sites, (Tampa/THEA, ICF/Wyoming, and New York City Department of Transportation) will embark on a new phase of activity to design, build, and test the nation's most complex and extensive deployment of integrated wireless in-vehicle, mobile device, and roadside technologies. These technologies and applications have been brought together in innovative ways to have an immediate impact in saving lives, improving personal mobility, enhancing economic productivity, reducing environmental impacts and transforming public agency operations.

    ITS Connected Vehicle presentations available
    The ITS JPO has announced that presentations are available from the recent public meeting and webinar held to provide an overview of the entire ITS Connected Vehicle Safety research programme, including Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V), Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2I), Safety Pilot, Connected Vehicle Safety Policy, and Human Factors.
