The IMP-C100-XX series features a 10/100TX Ethernet port and a fixed fibre interface which supports ST or SC connectors, depending on the model.

Both multi-mode and single-mode models are available to support applications with a range of fibre distances and types.

The series supports DIN-Rail as well as wall-mountable orientations and provides operating temperature range models in standard from -10°C to 70°C and extended operating temperature from -40°C to 80°C.

Long-term roadworks pose particular problems for temporary surveillance installations. Converting the hard shoulder to a running lane, either full- or part-time, is the UK Highways Agency’s solution to ease motorway congestion. This is leading to a number of long-term projects where large stretches of the hard shoulder are closed off by temporary concrete barriers and during these roadwork programmes, temporary CCTV cameras are deployed to monitor and record vehicle traffic and workers.

UK companies Arup and Mabey have installed what they say is the world’s first modular glass-fibre, reinforced polymer bridge, with Mabey becoming the first licensed distribution partner. The post-tensioned bridge is designed to be assembled in hard to reach sites where large cranes or heavy machinery cannot be used. Part-funded by the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB) the modular bridge is expected to be of particular interest to the rail industry, providing a safer alternative to level crossings w

The X-Stream series of H.264 video encoders and decoders from COE Group includes a single channel boxed encoder, and two and four channel encoders which may be box-housed or rack-mounted. The range also includes a dual-channel decoder, the X-Stream 200D, capable of decoding H.264 streaming Ethernet video for use with analogue devices. By rack mounting X-Stream encoders in a standard X-Net rack, as many as 56 channels of analogue video may be encoded and transmitted across an IP Ethernet network from each ra
