266 WebTech Wireless has won a contract award for its NextBus intelligent transportation system with the Conseil Intermunicipal de Transport Laurentides (CITL), which provides intra-urban bus services to several communities near Montreal, in Canada.

The NextBus ITS solution will provide CITL, and its four contractors, with fleet management tools to oversee and manage its daily operations, such as real-time schedule adherence, passenger counts, and live headway information. It will also provide NextBus real-time passenger information services (RTPIS) bus arrival information to CITL riders. This information can be readily shared with other transit agencies in the greater Montreal area, further enhancing the usability of regional transit services.
