TRL upgrades Transyt 15 software

TRL has upgraded its Transyt software used in designing, modelling and optimising road layouts from individual isolated junctions to large and complex networks. Version 15.0.1 can now lock a stage on one controller to a stage on another, which is useful for modelling linked controller streams. To cater for circulating traffic streams, the upgraded software now also has roundabout priority object. 491 TRL has upgraded its Transyt software used in designing, modelling and optimising road layouts from individual isolated junctions to large and complex networks.

Version 15.0.1 can now lock a stage on one controller to a stage on another, which is useful for modelling linked controller streams. To cater for circulating traffic streams, the upgraded software now also has roundabout priority object.

This new version can link to both Aimsun 7 and Aimsun 8 in both both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. This enables the import and control of any combination of fixed time controllers, irrespective of the cycle time they are running allowing Transyt to cater for multiple cycle times.

Dublin City Council’s vision is to create a city where people of all ages and abilities have the confidence, incentive and facilities to cycle. On-road cycle lanes had already been incorporated into the Quality Bus Corridors design and there is a mix of on- and off-road cycle routes. However, in 2010 the Council began work on a new
