WSP experts to present at Florida Automated Vehicle Summit, Florida

6666 WSP USA will offer presentations on smart cities and connected/automated vehicles (CAVs) as part of the Florida Automated Vehicle Summit held on 14-15 November in Tampa, Florida. The program assembles industry leaders from around the world to address relevant technologies, operations and policy issues.

Topics this year will include automated, connected, electric and shared (ACES) mobility; operations; law; infrastructure; functional design; cybersecurity; ethics; aftermarket products; enabling technologies; and public policy. Topics and breakout sessions are focused on ACES mobility.

On the 14 November, Tom Timcho, principal consultant and CAV deployment expert, will provide an update on the Smart Columbus project as part of a panel focused on connected vehicle issues.
 
From 3:30pm to 4:30pm, State and Local DOTs - Keeping Up with the Rapid Evolution of CAV, Steve Kuciemba, national intelligent transportation systems practice manager, is a panellist for one of the general sessions. His presentation will address the inevitable variability in capability and maturity levels of different state, county and municipal DOTs when it comes to C/AV, and explore lessons learned from agencies around the country that have embraced the technology.
