IRD wins WIM contract in California

International Road Dynamics. (IRD) has been awarded a US$1.345 million contract to provide a high speed weigh-in-motion (WIM) and verification system for a new commercial vehicle enforcement facility (CVEF) in Solano County, California. This system will be used by local enforcement personnel for selecting and directing commercial vehicles into the CVEF and by Caltrans for traffic planning purposes.

RSS69 International Road Dynamics. (IRD) has been awarded a US$1.345 million contract to provide a high speed weigh-in-motion (WIM) and verification system for a new commercial vehicle enforcement facility (CVEF) in Solano County, California. This system will be used by local enforcement personnel for selecting and directing commercial vehicles into the CVEF and by 3879 Caltrans for traffic planning purposes.

IRD will supply an integrated system including its leading single load cell and bending plate WIM scales with its state of the art iSINC controller electronics. The traffic data information collected by the system is essential for pavement studies, highway monitoring, capacity studies, accident rate calculations, and analysis of truck transport practices.
