Derq is to showcase two solutions powered by its artificial intelligence (AI) analytics platform as part of its involvement in the Qualcomm Smart Cities Accelerator Program.

Derq says its Derq Insight solution generates an array of real-time safety and traffic insights, providing granular data enabling in-depth analysis of safety issues, countermeasure development and traffic performance assessment.

The Derq Sense product provides real-time infrastructure-based analytics for off-board cooperative perception and traffic management applications, including Vehicle to Everything applications for connected and autonomous vehicles, the company adds.

Sanjeet Pandit, global head of Smart Cities at Qualcomm says both products “will support the deployment of end to end safety and traffic solutions for cities and spaces”.

Derq’s AI analytics platform is expected to power connected and autonomous roads, making cities safer for all road users and enable the deployment of autonomous vehicles at scale.

The Qualcomm programme seeks to connect cities, municipalities, government agencies, and enterprises with providers offering smart city solutions.

Derq co-founder Dr. Georges Aoude says: “The Qualcomm Smart Cities Accelerator Program will help accelerate the deployment of our cutting-edge AI solutions to improve road safety and mobility today, and prepare our partners for the future of connected and autonomous transportation.”
