Ocularis 5, the latest video management system (VMS) solution from 677 OnSSI is now compatible with 686 Pelco’s Optera multi sensor panoramic cameras.

Optera cameras include 180°, 270°, and 360° versions and feature 12MPx resolution with electronic PTZ across the panoramic field of view to provide uniform image detail. Additionally, the cameras features Pelco’s SureVision 2.0 technology to overcome glare, along with WDR and low light performance.

The Ocularis 5 platform is said to provide robust network and video security with features including end-to-end encryption for the VMS, a scrambled recorded video database to protect the integrity of recorded video and the ability to record directly to a NAS anywhere on the network.

It features automatic load balancing for managing recordings across system servers, while critical camera failover ensures continuous surveillance by switching to a failover camera in as little as two seconds.
