915 Arecont Vision's new model AV2805 camera provides full High-Definition (HD) video with 1920x1080 pixels (2.07 megapixels) at 30fps. The new model complements the company's new AV10005 series of 10 megapixel/1080p dual-mode cameras by offering a single standardised 1080p mode, along with otherwise similar features, at a more competitive price point.

Available in colour, day/night and colour auto-iris versions, the AV2805 offers selectable H.264 or MJPEG compression to best suit a wide range of applications. Users can digitally pan, tilt and zoom live with multiple zoom windows while recording the full field of view in full HD 1080p. Post-event forensic zooming is also possible from archives to extract recorded details.

    The latest camera from high performance digital camera manufacturer Point Grey, the Grasshopper3, is the world’s first machine vision camera family to combine CCD technology with a USB 3.0 interface, says the company. The first Grasshopper3 camera model, the GS3-U3-28S4, has a maximum frame rate of 26 FPS and features the Sony 2.8 megapixel 1/1.8” ICX687 EXview HAD CCD II sensor. A full line-up of Sony CCD-based models is planned for the Grasshopper3 family, including 2.8 2/3”, 6 megapixel, and 9.1 megapix
