Meet the new 12 Megapixel Manta G-1236

518 Allied Vision Technologies’s latest camera, the Manta G-1236B/G-1236C is a GigE Vision machine vision camera that incorporates Sony’s Type 1.1 (17.6 mm diagonal) IMX304 CMOS sensor with Pregius global shutter technology.

At full resolution the camera runs 9.7 frames per second and higher frame rates are possible with a smaller region of interest. Features include power over Ethernet, three look-up tables, sophisticated colour correction capabilities, a metal housing and many modular options.

Monochrome versions have B270 (ASG) protection glass and colour models are fitted with a Hoya C-5000 IR cut filter.

Teledyne Dalsa has launched its Genie Nano-M2450 polarised camera built around Sony’s Pregius 5.1M polarised image sensor. The model features a monochrome quad polarisation filter, resolution of 2448 x 2048 pixels, and aims to deliver an image capture of 35 frames per second. The product also utilises the company’s TurboDrive technology with the intention of increasing frame rates by up to 50%. Additionally, the device is said to offer polarisation for both area and line scan (Piranha 4 polarisation) camera

Kowa is showcasing its lens series for 12MP cameras with a 1.1" chip size and a pixel size of 3.45µm at Vision 2018 this week in Stuttgart, Germany. The new FC series is optimized to fit the micro lenses of the new Sony sensors IMX253 and IMX304, so that unwanted shading on the sensor is prevented. Kowa’s lenses are also wide-band coated which effectively decreases glare and reflection and produces a high transmission from the visible to the NIR wavelength.

Allied Vision Technologies’ new Goldeye is a short-wave infrared camera (SWIR) that covers wavelengths between 900 and 1,700nm. Its new rectangular housing is significantly smaller and lighter than its predecessor and said to be the smallest available SWIR camera with Gigabit Ethernet interface. The rugged hardware is designed for industrial machine vision, with built-in sensor cooling that works without a fan and a screwed interface port that allows for a secure connection.
