BriefCam to be acquired by Canon

Provider of video synopsis solutions BriefCam is expecting to deliver stronger solutions and serve its global clients more effectively through an acquisition placed by digital imaging company Canon. Canon says that the transaction will help them deliver a broader range of cameras, video management software and video content analysis.

Provider of video synopsis solutions BriefCam is expecting to deliver stronger solutions and serve its global clients more effectively through an acquisition placed by digital imaging company 7992 Canon.


Canon says that the transaction will help them deliver a broader range of cameras, video management software and video content analysis.

Under the agreement, BriefCam will remain an open platform that works with other third party products.

Finalisation of the deal is subject to customary closing conditions.
