Swiss manufacturer of non-intrusive traffic and parking detectors 1803 ADEC technologies has supplied 100 TDC3-2 (TLS 2+0) overhead traffic detectors for the new control system being installed on the A3 road project in Germany. The contract includes 29 display panels with traffic detection systems.

The TDC3 Series is a family of advanced traffic detectors using Doppler radar, ultrasound and passive infrared to provide comprehensive traffic data for each vehicle, including vehicle class, speed, length, occupancy time and time gap.

Installed in cooperation with system integrator QSG Verkehrstechnik, the newly-constructed traffic control system covers over a distance of around 20 kilometres and completes the currently-existing systems.

Siemens to add 68 traffic detectors to highway in Bosnia
Siemens Mobility is to install 68 traffic detectors from ADEC Technologies on highway E661 from the municipality of Gradiška to the city of Banja Luka in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Siemens says the TDC3-8 (TLS 8+1) traffic detectors are part of an ITS system which monitors and controls traffic on the highway. The detectors collect statistical traffic data such as the number and classification of vehicles and level of service. Milan Radivojevic, project manager at Siemens Mobility, says the project invo

Q-Free to install traffic detectors in Slovenia
Q-Free is to install 68 traffic detectors from ADEC Technologies around Ljubljana and the A1 highway towards the coastal region of Slovenia. ADEC says up to three of its TDC3-8 (TLS 8+1) traffic detectors will be installed at 30 locations to manage traffic. Jure Pirc, project manager at Q-Free, says the detectors are used mainly for “traffic data acquisition” as part of the traffic management system on the highway. He explains that speed limits are regulated automatically via variable message signs (VM

    ADEC traffic detector
ADEC Technologies has released a simple short- to medium-range Doppler radar-based traffic detector, which features a novel accessory. As Product Manager Markus Güntensperger points out, the commissioning interface of any detector often leads to a compromise between longevity and versatility. "We felt that neither DIP switches nor additional connectors optimally serve the temporary nature of the commissioning task, but a simple IR remote control device does," he says.
