Nyx Hemera Technologies, a lighting specialist for tunnels and underpasses, has a new video on its website explaining energy savings using its flagship TLACS-EM system. The system allows energy management through individual system control and dynamic control based on actual outdoor conditions.

The company, based in Quebec City, Canada, says that TLACS-EM is already installed in nearly 100 tunnels in the US, Canada, South America, Europe and Asia. It meets the needs of tunnel operators in terms of energy savings, lighting system optimisation, operational efficiency, reliability and safety.

TLACS products include TLACS lighting cabinets specifically designed for tunnels, underpasses or other areas for control and monitoring. Cabinets are available in different sizes and materials to adapt to the most extreme needs and environments from the simple painted steel to heated or air conditioned cabinet.

The UDE - underpass dimming enclosure - system is specifically designed for underpasses or small tunnels where limited control is required and setup in a TLACS-U configuration. Self-commissioned, the unit controls LED luminaires through a Local Product Controller and monitors its time usage for better management.

Last year the company revamped its website making it more useable for its international customers – and can be viewed in English, French and Spanish.
