Swarco wins Timisoara project

Swarco Traffic Romania (STR) is to implement a video surveillance and traffic management system for the city of Timisoara in Romania. Fully adaptive traffic control will be installed at 134 intersections, which also include public transport prioritisation. The project also includes 215 signal heads, 312 pedestrian signal heads, 260 on-board units, 230 CCTV monitoring systems and 17 LED variable message signs as well as 50 speed radar detectors and red light enforcement monitoring. 129 Swarco Traffic Romania (STR) is to implement a video surveillance and traffic management system for the city of Timisoara in Romania.

Fully adaptive traffic control will be installed at 134 intersections, which also include public transport prioritisation. The project also includes 215 signal heads, 312 pedestrian signal heads, 260 on-board units, 230 CCTV monitoring systems and 17 LED variable message signs as well as 50 speed radar detectors and red light enforcement monitoring.

The project is expected to be complete by the end of 2015.
