PTV joins forces with Ingenius Mobile in Romania

PTV and Ingenius Mobile have joined forces to serve the Romanian market with PTVs traffic and transport planning software systems, and in particular its leading product line, PTV Vision.

3264 PTV and Ingenius Mobile have joined forces to serve the Romanian market with PTVs traffic and transport planning software systems, and in particular its leading product line, PTV Vision.

Romania is rated as one of the poorest countries in the EU when it comes to motorways: around 320 kilometres of long-distance roads run through the South-East European country, according to Eurostat, the statistical office of the 1816 European Union. However, ambitious plans to build motorways have been beset by problems and delays going back years.

"We feel it is the best time to place ourselves in the market with our transportation planning software PTV Vision," says Dr.-Ing. Thomas Schwerdtfeger, member of the board of directors and responsible for the business field Traffic Software. "And with ingenius mobile we have found a competent partner who can connect German know-how in the transportation planning industry with a good knowledge of Romania and its culture."
