Transit as a Service (TaaS) company EnrouteQ has joined the United Nations Global Compact initiative to take action to create sustainable solutions.

EnrouteQ CEO Magnus Ståhlberg says: “We are committed to generate a deeper impact on society, making cities inclusive, safe and with affordable transport for all.“

The UN Global Compact is a call to companies to take strategic actions in support of UN targets embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals.

It has more than 9,500 companies and 3,000 non-business signatories based in over 160 countries, and more than 70 local networks.

EnrouteQ offers affordable ways to track buses and produce real-time information to passengers.

The company says on its website that its TaaS model allows traffic management to optimise schedules, monitor route adherence, handle detours and “bus bunching”.

The EnrouteQ Mobile Mapping Toolkit allows users to create detailed digital maps of a public transport network, showing terminals, routes, stops and hailing points.

Meanwhile, its real-time passenger information provides passengers with the live location of buses while also visualising bus frequencies along routes.
