Building on its Vantage video detection technology, 73 Iteris has developed what it says is the first iPad-based application for a video/radar-based hybrid detection solution.

The Vector Tablet VST is a convenient set-up tool application for Iteris’ popular Vantage Vector hybrid detection system and allows for complete configuration and visual verification of the detection system operation. Using embedded wi-fi in both devices to communicate securely using multiple security levels, the Vector Tablet VST expedites the easy set-up of the camera’s field of view, the radar sensor configuration and adjustment, and firmware upgrades.

“Ease of use is a key consideration for all of Iteris’ detection technologies. By designing systems with this in mind, we provide solutions for our customers that simplify traffic management, while maintaining a high level of security,” said Bill Sowell, Iteris’ vice president, sales and marketing. “The widespread use of tablet computers is here and we’re focused upon meeting customer needs.”
